Since it was built in 1904, The Chatsworth has been home to a number of New York’s elite, including composer Irving Berlin. Now, it is offering newly designed luxury Upper West Side apartments for sale. The prewar structure boasts plenty of charming features including an intricate Beaux-Arts façade, original moldings, and a detailed lobby with hand-carved walnut paneling and a fireplace adorned with the Cavendish Family crest, an homage to the building’s namesake. While developer HFZ Capital Group is preserving many of The Chatsworth’s original features, the firm is also upgrading the building to include world-class amenities such as a children’s playroom, fitness center, bike storage, and a screening room.
